On Monday 22 October 2007, His Grace Bishop Suriel, Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Melbourne, ordained Mr. Paul Boutros to the order of Deacon giving him the name of Isaac.

The ordination took place at St. Bishoy and St. Shenouda Coptic Orthodox Church in the district of Bulleen.

Deacon Isaac shall be ordained to the Priesthood on Sunday 28 October 2007. He will be ordained as a General Priest to serve at parish in Bulleen.

Deacon Isaac has been studying at the Theological College, successfully completing a number of units towards his Diploma in Theology.

The Dean, His Grace Bishop Suriel, and the faculty of St. Athanasius Coptic Orthodox Theological College would like to congratulate Deacon Isaac on his ordination to the Diaconate and his upcoming ordination to the Priesthood, wishing him every success in his ministry.

Ordination to the Priesthood

On Sunday October 28th, 2007, the Dean of the College ordained Deacon Isaac to the Priesthood with the name Fr. Shenouda. His Grace Bishop Picenti of Helwan in Egypt and His Grace Bishop Daniel from Sydney, Australia also shared in the Ordination.

The Dean and faculty congratulate Fr. Shenouda Botrous and wish him a blessed ministry full of fruit.
