Policy and Services
Who has access?
Staff and Students of the College:
($15.00 annual fee for Library on registration in College).
Borrowing privileges as per established Library policies.
Clergy of the Coptic Orthodox Church:
Borrowing privileges as per established Library policies
Others:
No borrowing privileges.
Use Library resources onsite only: $15.00 annual fee payable.
Hours Of Opening
Semester 1 & 2, 2007:
Mondays to Wednesdays 6:00 – 9:30 p.m.
Saturdays 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Services
Borrowing Limits:
Students: Up to 2 books can be borrowed at any one time for
a period of 2 weeks.
Staff & Clergy: Up to 3 books can be borrowed at any one
time for a period of 3 weeks.
Overdue Books:
Students may not borrow again and may not re-enroll until
overdue books are returned.
Renewals:
Books may be renewed if the original loan period has not expired
or another Library user has not requested the item.
Renewals can be made by telephoning the Library and leaving
a message.
Overdue Penalties & Fines:
We ask you to return all items you borrow by the due date.
A penalty of $0.75 per day per item is charged for overdue
items.
All fines for overdue items accrue to a maximum of $20.00
per item.
Exam results will be withheld and students will be ineligible
to receive any award from the College while any item is still
overdue or replacement costs or other charges are still outstanding.
How to avoid Fines:
Return items on time
Renew items on or before the due date in person or by telephone
Don’t lend your student card to anyone else. If you
do, it will be confiscated.
Lost and/or Damaged Books:
Cost of replacement book plus 15% administration cost will
be payable.
Book Return:
An after hours book return chute is available for the return
of books outside of Library opening hours.
Photocopier:
A coin-operated photocopier is available for use in the Library.

The Computer Library Catalogue
The Library collection is recorded on the Library computer
catalogue known as BiblioTech.
The BiblioTech software enables searching by Title, Author,
Series, ISBN and many other fields. Please ask for assistance
when using the catalogue for the first time.
The Collection
The Library collection contains approximately 5,300 books
in the subject areas of New Testament, Patrology, Church History,
Iconography, Coptology, Egyptology and many other subject
areas.
The Library collection comprises:
Textbooks (mostly for loan, may be some exceptions)
Reference (not for loan)
Periodicals (not for loan)
