Typewritten or word-processed assignments are preferred.
They should be well spaced (double or 1.5) on A4 paper.
You should use a 12-point font.
If in exceptional cases, you must hand write your assignments,
you should take great care to ensure that they are neat
and legible.
Type, word-process or write on only one side of the page.
All work should have a margin of approximately 4cm on
the left of the page.
Each page should be numbered.
All work submitted should be accompanied by a signed
submission sheet, with all the required information filled
in.
Students should keep a duplicate copy of all assignments.
Assignment – Content Guidelines
Start by defining the topic or problem.
Seek and comprehend information about it.
Apply your resultant knowledge and understanding to the
topic.
Develop a line of argument or a set of recommendations.
Use the following checklist on your assignment before submitting
it for assessment
Make sure that you have written at least as many words
as required, and preferably not many more. Word limits are
designed both to ensure that your coverage of the topic
is comprehensive as required, and to train you to express
your ideas concisely.
Read the assessment topic or instructions again to make
sure that you have not drifted away from the requirements.
Check your spelling, punctuation, grammar and sentence
structure.
Make sure that all references and bibliography entries
are absolutely correct.
