Marking System

The College normally offers two choices when attempting each subject. Students may choose to complete assessment in each subject as 4 Units or 5 Units.

4 Units
The maximum mark attainable for a student attempting a 4 unit Subject will be 89%. Students studying subjects as only 4 unit subjects will not be able to pass with an A Grade in that subject.

5 Units
For a student to pass a subject with a 5 Unit assessment, he/she must complete a Major Research Assignment in that subject (as outlined by the Lecturer).

General

Attendance:
For a student to be eligible to sit a Final Exam in any Subject, he/she must satisfy the 80% minimum attendance requirement. It is the responsibility of each student to be aware of his/her attendance fulfilled prior to the Final Exam.

Assessment for each subject is as follows:
Two 500 word Essays
One 1000 word Assignment
One Final Exam (duration between 1-3 Hours that may be open book)
One Optional Major Research Assignment for a 5 Unit Assessment
* Note: Each student must pass both the Work Requirements and the Final Exam separately to obtain a pass in a subject.

Grades will be according to the following principle adopted by the College:

A 90 – 100 %
B 75 – 89 %
C 65 – 74 %
D 50 – 64 %
F 0 – 49 %
